తెలుగుYour child, talking to Ammamma in Telugu.
Laddu is a ten-minute daily speaking buddy for kids who understand Telugu but answer in English, whether they live in Dallas or Hyderabad. It listens, gently fixes their Telugu, and turns what they say in English into their own Telugu sentence.

Laddu is being built now. The first families try it first.
Ten minutes sounds like this.
Your child talks and Laddu listens. When they answer in English, Laddu helps them say it in Telugu, fixes one small thing, and gets them ready for Sunday's video call with Ammamma.
Laddu
హలో! ఈ వారం స్కూల్లో ఏం ఆడావు?
Hello! What did you play at school this week?
Your child
“I played football with my friends!”
Laddu
వావ్! దాన్ని తెలుగులో ఇలా చెప్పొచ్చు: "నేను ఫ్రెండ్స్తో ఫుట్బాల్ ఆడాను."
Wow! In Telugu, you can say it like this: "I played football with my friends."
Your child
నేను ఫ్రెండ్స్తో ఫుట్బాల్ ఆడాడు.
“I played football with my friends.” (said ‘aadaadu’, which means ‘he played’)
Laddu
భలే ట్రై చేశావు! కానీ నువ్వు నీ గురించి చెప్తున్నావు కదా, అప్పుడు 'ను'తో ఎండ్ అవ్వాలి. అంటే, 'ఆడాను'. మళ్ళీ చెప్పు.
Great try! But since you are talking about yourself, it should end with 'nu'. That means, 'aadaanu'. Say it again.
Tip for parentsIn Telugu, verbs change based on who is doing the action. For 'I' (nenu), past tense verbs always end with a 'nu' sound, so saying 'aadaadu' actually means 'he played'!
Your child
నేను ఫ్రెండ్స్తో ఫుట్బాల్ ఆడాను.
I played football with my friends.
Laddu
సూపర్! కరెక్ట్గా చెప్పావు. సండే అమ్మమ్మతో వీడియో కాల్లో మాట్లాడేటప్పుడు ఇలాగే చెప్పు, తను చాలా సంతోషిస్తుంది!
Super! You said it perfectly. Say it exactly like this when you talk to Ammamma on your Sunday video call, she will be so happy!
Ready for Sunday's call

Everything that goes in. Nothing that shouldn't.
A kids' app should be as easy to read as the label on a jar. Laddu is made with AI and says so, there are no ads, and a parent owns the account. It's practice between classes, never a replacement for them or for grandparents.
Practice starts where your child already is. If they understand but answer in English, that's the perfect place to begin.

Most tools teach letters or reading from zero. Your child already understands a lot. What they need is practice saying it, a little every day.

Questions parents ask
Is Laddu an AI?
Yes. Laddu is an AI speaking buddy, and it says so. It never pretends to be a grandparent, a teacher or any real person.
What age is it for?
Children aged 5 to 10 who understand some Telugu at home but usually answer in English, whether they live in the US, the UK, the Gulf or a city in India.
What will my child talk about?
Everyday things: family, food, school, games and festivals. Younger children start with first words like colours, shapes, numbers and animals, all in Telugu.
Does it replace weekend Telugu class?
No. Classes teach reading and writing with a teacher, usually once a week. Laddu is the ten minutes of speaking practice in between.
My child can't read Telugu yet. Is that OK?
Yes. Laddu is about listening and speaking, so your child doesn't need to read Telugu script.
How much will it cost?
We haven't set a price yet. Founding families will get a lower price for their first year.
What about my child's privacy?
A parent owns the account, there are no ads, and we will keep only what practice needs. This waitlist collects a parent's details only, never a child's.
When can we start?
We're building Laddu now. Founding families get access first, and we'll email you as soon as it's ready.
Which languages are coming?
Telugu first. Tamil, Kannada, Hindi and others are on our list, and the families who join decide which comes next.
